Edith MargaretGLIDDONPassed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on 19th December 2025 aged 95 years.

Devoted wife to Ian, loving mum to Nick, Carl and Pat and a cherished grandmother. Maggie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Following a private committal, the family invite you to join them in celebrating Maggie's life at Trinity Methodist Church, Leek, on Friday 16th January 2026 at 1pm.

As Maggie had such a bright personality, the family invites all who wish to attend to honour her memory by wearing a splash of colour.

Family flowers only please but your kind donations in memory of Maggie will be forwarded to Leek Food Bank and the ASHA Charity.

A lovely lady ! I knew Maggie many years ago , along with Ian and her family when I was teaching science on the Isle of Sheppey , Kent . My name is Mrs Hazel Hyde and my husband Geoffrey was involved with Sheppey , Rugby Club . Thinking of you , all xxx

So sorry to read in the local about Maggie but as I’m writing I am smiling and can hear her laugh and a good age reached. I worked with Ian at Sheppey comprehensive as a young science teacher. Ian was a good leader and I met Maggie through social events etc. I’m sure your strength as a family will help at such a difficult time xxx
